Chapter one
On a magical planet far from ours, ten-year-old Truk lives in his treehouse on his beautiful island, always tending to his garden— paying special attention to his favorite Tulip who loves him as much as he loves her.
Chapter two
A terrible storm tears through the forest. When the wind finally quiets, the treehouse is gone. And so is Tulip.

The people behind it
Kurt has been creative since birth — melodies in his head before he could write them down. He spent the first half of his life in the music business, writing hundreds of songs and dozens of award-winning scores and jingles, then built D4 Creative in Philadelphia, creative-directing campaigns for national brands. Now he writes children's books. As he puts it, he never left the child behind, the way so many of us are forced to. He's a dad of two grown sons, Kory and Alek.
